Only a few steps are required to get the edge module up and running in your plant. In the following article, we are going to guide you through these steps. Let’s start!
Basic safety instructions
- Before setting up or using your edge module, please read the installation instructions supplied with the device.
- For more detailed information, please refer to the User Manual and the additional documentation on https://help.netilion.endress.com
- The system must be installed, connected, configured, operated and maintained according to the instructions in this Quick Start Guide and the associated manuals.
- For the degree of protection please see the specifications of the respective field device.
- The Liquiline Edge Module is not approved for use in hazardous areas. Any connection to devices operating in hazardous areas must be made via a suitable barrier.
2. Wiring and mounting
a) CYY7-AA1*(Ethernet version): Connect the Liquiline Edge Module to the receiving point via an Ethernet cable.
Route the Ethernet cable through the supplied cable gland. The sealing insert for the cable entry can be separated. This means that it can be attached to the cable without having to guide the plug through.
Tool required: Open-ended wrench 27 m
b) CYY7-AA2* (Cellular radio version): Route the antenna cable through the cable gland supplied. Connect the antenna cable using the adapter cable of the Liquiline Edge Module.
Mount the antenna on the highest possible mounting position using the supplied antenna holder.
3.1 Connect the Netilion Platform
- Login to your Endress+Hauser Netilion account at https://netilion.endress.com/app/id/
- If using cellular radio communication, ensure that your subscription has at least one unused “Asset Uplink” booked in your Netilion plan. For further information see: Pricing
- Navigate to the following path at your field device: Menu/General settings/Extended setup/Edge module/Commissioning wizard and follow the instructions in the wizard.
- If the connection is not established within ten minutes proceed with the next steps. After completion of the commissioning wizard restart the device. Check the successful connection in the field device via the path: Menu/Diagnosis/System information/Edge module/Cellular network
- The booking of a connected asset is mandatory when the CYY7-AA2* is used.
