The SGC500 offers a FieldGateway Adapter for NXA820. This FieldGateway adapter enables the communication to HART field devices which are connected to the NXA820.
After creating a NXA820 Adapter only the IP address of the corresponding NXA820 and the IP Port must be configured.

Value service is not supported for connected HART field devices. (If value monitoring is required, it would be possible via the "Modbus TCP Device" support of the SGC500 via NXA822.)
Constraints
Update cycle calculation and limitations
The identification per tank takes 29 seconds and the read out of the health information 15 seconds per asset.
Recommended limitation:
The SGC500 can manage up to 30 gateways, and it is recommended not to connect more than 360 assets per SGC500. This ensures that the health status of all devices is updated within two hours. For even faster updates, the number of assets can be reduced accordingly, e.g., 180 assets for an update within one hour.
Impact on the transmission of process values
A complete Modbus cycle is around 33% slower with the Edge device communication in place. This isn’t a critical value for Tank Gauging applications but must be considered and known.
NXA820 performance limit
The NXA820 is limited in performance regarding HART communication with connected devices. In particular, if only one NXA820 is connected to the SGC500, the SGC500 must be configured to ensure the NXA820 is not overloaded. If you have a system setup with only one NXA820, please contact our support.
